We offer
regular guided hikes on many different trails in the Rhode Island area.
Pictures you see here are from a hike at Trustom Pond last fall.
We have another scheduled hike planned for Trustom
Pond National Wildlife Refuge in
South Kingstown, RI on Saturday, May 16th
at
2:00 PM.
(weather permitting). We will send an email out to all who
sign up confirming the date and time prior to the event.
Directions: The
Refuge is located in the Town of South Kingstown, Washington County,
Rhode Island. From Providence, head South on Interstate 95 and exit
onto Route 4 south. Route 4 will merge into U.S. Route 1 south.
Continue on Route 1 south and take the Moonstone Beach Road exit.
Continue for 1 mile, and then turn right onto Matunuck Schoolhouse Road
at the four way stop sign. Continue west on Schoolhouse Road for one
mile, and the refuge entrance will be on the left.
What
to wear:
Comfortable walking shoes, preferably sneakers or hiking
boots. Dress in layers in case you get too warm. Comfortable
loose clothing.
What
to bring: A bottle
of water and maybe a lite snack, if you think you'd like to. Also, a
camera or binoculars are always good to have with you.
This
hike is geared to beginners/
intermediate approximately a
3 mile hike.
